Streetlight Improvement Project

The Ridglea North Streetlight Improvement Project is scheduled to begin next month. In Phase 1, the city will replace existing street light luminaries and arms with new LED streetlights and new arms; this phase has a month and a half timeline. Phase 2 work includes installing new streetlights at intersections without existing streetlights; this phase is expected to last two months. Click below for more information about the project.

First Responder Appreciation

Did you know RNNA organizes an appreciation program for our neighborhood first responders? RNNA Outreach Director Suzie Jary works with Ridglea North neighbors to deliver treats to Fire Station 16 and Neighborhood Police Officer Bel Haddad. If you would like to get involved, please contact Suzie.

Thank you to these generous Ridglea North neighbors for your continued efforts in showing appreciation to our first responders: Andrea, Penny and Ellie Deale, Suzie Jary, Sue and Scarlette Peterson, Diane Fried, Renee Mitchum, John and Jennifer Kelly, JoAnna and Greg Barton.

School Supplies Drive

The Restoration Center is organizing a school supplies drive. Don't miss this opportunity to help kiddos on the west side!

Yard of the Month

Congratulations to our Yard of the Month winner at 6228 Kenwick Ave. Thank you for keeping Ridglea North beautiful!

Ridglea North Moms Group "Rocks the Neighborhood"

Have you spotted colorful, hand-painted rocks hidden around the neighborhood? In August, Ridglea North Moms Group organized a social distanced craft, providing rocks and paint kits for kids to create and place their creations around Ridglea North. Thanks to Moms Group Coordinator Audrey Glaser for organizing a fun and safe activity for neighborhood kids. Contact Audrey if you would like to be added to the moms group email list.

Malvey Court Tree Trimming

RNNA recently coordinated with the City of Fort Worth and the Citizen Forester volunteer group to trim and shape the trees and crepe myrtles in Malvey Court. Thank you to RNNA Park & Green Spaces Director Joe French for heading up this effort.

Neighbor Spotlight: Lynn Newman

1) Tell us about yourself and your family. I’ve been married to Cam for 33 years. We have one son who got married a few years ago and we were recently blessed with a beautiful grandson! We also have 3 dogs - 2 rescue black labs and one miniature dachshund.

2) How long have you lived in Ridglea North? We built our house and moved in 3 years ago. We had lived in the same zip code for years and moved to 76116 and LOVE it!!!

3) What’s your favorite neighborhood activity or event? I loved the 4th of July parade this year and I loved the garden tour last year!

4) What’s your favorite thing to do in Fort Worth? I really enjoy going to restaurants but that activity has been curtailed. I walk in the neighborhood every day with the dogs so that’s my favorite current pandemic activity!

5) What’s your best advice on being a good neighbor? I feel like being a good neighbor is a mix of attitude and action. When you open yourself up to meeting people and learning their names and a little info about them then relationships are fostered and the neighborhood becomes a better and more enriching place to live.
