National Night Out

Litter Stomp

Saturday, October 16, 9am, Berney Park

Neighborhood Litter Stomp is a citywide volunteer litter cleanup hosted by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful every fall. We'll gather in the park for some light breakfast treats before spreading out to collect trash around Ridglea North and pull weeds in Berney Park. Please RSVP to event organizer Suzie Jary.

First Responder Appreciation

Ridglea North neighbor Scarlette Peterson delivered treats to Fire Station #16 and the West Division Police Station last month. Interested in helping with first responder appreciation? Contact Outreach Coordinator Suzie Jary.

A Look Back at Movie in the Park

Thank you to all the neighbors who attended our Movie in the Park events this year. We were fortunate to have pleasant weather for both shows, and Toy Story 4 and Moana seemed to be enjoyable for neighbors of all ages. A big thanks goes out to our volunteers as well. We look forward to hosting more movie nights in 2022!

Yard of the Month

The selection for the October Yard of the Month is 6301 Kenwick, home of JoEllen and Ted St. Clair. This welcoming home has two "front" porches and the beds are filled with a beautiful combination of shade loving plants such as huge potted ferns, hydrangea and ivy beds. The landscaping is accented with art pieces that the St. Clairs have collected over the years. JoEllen said these pieces have been placed at one time or another at different homes and they are so glad their art has now "found a home on Kenwick." Ted and JoEllen feel the art pieces compliment the uniqueness of their home. This combination of beautiful landscaping and unique art is a definite asset to Ridglea North.

Development Update

QuikTrip, who had expressed interest in building at 6201 Camp Bowie Blvd, has withdrawn their plans to build at that location.

Neighbor Spotlight: JK Doyle

1) Tell us about yourself and your family. Born and raised here in Fort Worth! Moved away for a couple of years and just recently came back in January of this year. Amazed at how much this city has grown! I'm a Workday Consultant working for a partner based out of Las Colinas.

2) How long have you lived in Ridglea North? Grew up in the house I'm currently living!

3) What’s your favorite neighborhood activity or event? So far it's been the 4th of July parade!

4) What’s your favorite thing to do in Fort Worth? Whoa, how do you decide?! Between the museums, our theaters, all the new places in the Northside, our parks and new restaurants.... I think I love being out on the Trinity River the most. Whether its riding my bike on the trail or sitting on a patio with friends.

5) What’s your best advice on being a good neighbor? Get to know each other! February storms were rough and I had some great neighbors looking out for one another and staying in contact to make sure we were all safe. That type of community means a lot to a neighborhood!
