July 4th Parade & Kona Ice July 4, 9:30am
This year, RNNA is taking our 4th of July celebration to the streets! Our patriotic parade of vehicles will cruise through Ridglea North starting at 9:30am. All neighbors are invited to participate - as a spectator or by driving in the parade. Check out these simple guidelines for driving in the parade, and please RSVP to Events Coordinator Renee Mitcham if you want to join. See parade map below. Kona Ice will be set up at Berney Park from 10-11:30am. Pick up a tropical shaved ice at your leisure. Card payments only (no cash). RNNA encourages neighbors to keep a safe social distance at all times, in accordance with the City of Fort Worth's guidelines. We look forward to returning to our traditional July 4th celebration in Berney Park next year.

1) Tell us about yourself and your family. I grew up in Aledo, graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in aerospace engineering, and work for Lockheed Martin as an engineer on the F-35 program. My wife Michelle grew up in Stephenville and Dublin, and graduated from UTA with a degree in business and also studied elementary education. She is an elementary special education teacher with FWISD at Hubbard Heights Elementary. We have 10-year-old twins, Carson and Avery who are finishing up 4th grade at Alice Carlson ALC.

2) How long have you lived in Ridglea North? 22 years. I remember driving through the neighborhood as a child when going to Crystal’s pizza, and when I decided to buy a house in Fort Worth, Ridglea North was at the top of my list due to the older homes, variety of architecture and location.
3) What’s your favorite neighborhood activity or event? National Night Out for me, but Michelle likes the neighborhood garage sale. We also enjoy heading over to Berney Park to walk and play.
4) What’s your favorite thing to do in Fort Worth? Fort Worth Zoo and Ridglea Pool
5) What’s your best advice on being a good neighbor? Try to be social and get to know your neighbors. Also when choosing to do something (or not to) to your property, always try to consider if it will add to or detract from the neighborhood.
