Party in the Park - 10am

Join us in Berney Park for food, music, games, activities for the kids, and spending time with your Ridglea North neighbors. Pick up a breakfast taco from Rusty Taco for $2 and a snowball from Pelican's for $3. Check out the Kids Zone, courtesy of the RNNA Moms Group, for bubbles, chalk, games and patriotic temporary tattoos. Grab a neighbor and play a round of bocce ball, cornhole or volleyball while listening to some patriotic tunes. We can't wait to see you, neighbors!

Patriotic Decor Contest Winners

Congratulations to our three Patriotic Decor contest winners. These neighbors went above and beyond with flags, lights, banners and more. Winners received Curly's gift cards to redeem for a cool summer treat. Drive by and check out these beautiful yards!

Crepe Myrtle Maintenance in Berney Park

RNNA again partnered with the Citizen Forester volunteer group to clean up green spaces around Ridglea North. During June, the group pruned the crepe myrtles in Berney Park. Big thanks to these volunteers for helping keep our neighborhood beautiful!

Take the Access North Texas transportation survey

Access North Texas is the regional public transportation coordination plan for the 16-county North Central Texas region. This 5 minute survey is designed to collect public feedback on the transportation needs of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and individuals with lower incomes within the region.

Neighbor Spotlight: Paige Kelly Hendricks Russey

1) Tell us about yourself and your family. A resident of Fort Worth for a cumulative 54 of my 71 years, I have experienced our wonderful city as a child, a teenager, a college student, a mom, a business owner, a community volunteer, and now, as the wife of my second (final) husband, Bob Russey, who got me to Ridglea North. (Bob and I actually were classmates at Stripling and Heights ages ago!) Between us, we have four adult children — Jeff [Miranda], Erin [Taly] (both in Dallas); Alex [Lindsey] (FW; our next door neighbor), and Lucas (Irving). We have six grandchildren, from 8 months through 12 years.

2) How long have you lived in Ridglea North? Since late 2014. Bob has lived here since 1977.

3) What’s your favorite neighborhood activity or event? We love the July 4th parade (as spectators 😉) and Berney Park gathering. The spirit of the neighborhood and the variety of its residents are wonderful.

4) What’s your favorite thing to do in Fort Worth? Experience its rich culture. What a feast we have here: art, theater, music, dance, food, parks, and lots of creative expression.

5) What’s your best advice on being a good neighbor? Smile. I’ve been a resident of a number of FW neighborhoods, from Monticello to the near Southside, and I have found that a smile begins the journey that takes a stranger from initial conversations to involvement, friendship and participation. We should never hesitate to ask for or offer a helping hand. Volunteering for the neighborhood association would be a great way to start!
